I'd kinda prefer the zodi, but the mr heater is $30 cheaper. What do y'all think?

While no expert in camping heating equipment, personal choice would be number 1. Compact, safe (at least from the feature descriptions), direct connection to fuel tank, no hoses or blower to eventually replace, no need for a battery, etc. Plus I think its moreconvenient to have something like that inside.

Without knowing when/when you'll be camping, and what type of tent and bags, I'd go with Mr Heater, for all of the same reasons.

If you are cold enough in your tent that you are considering buying a heater, why not just buy a warmer sleeping bag? Here's one that will definitely keep you warm.

What this all stemmed from were two trips that I froze on. One I had a thin summer tent in mid october in the desert, Sleep Cell mummy Zero degree bag. Second trip I had the cabin tent, same sleeping bag and a cot when the temps dipped to 32f in the forest. What seems to happen is my head gets cold and the rest of me is then cold all night, even with a small tent heater going. Makes for a miserable night's sleep. And I don't like getting up in a cold house/tent. I bought a coleman Sportcat (1500btu) which wasn't big enough for a 10x10 tent and only put out marginal heat. Would like to upgrade and these two seem to be the best.
