While no expert in camping heating equipment, personal choice would be number 1. Compact, safe (at least from the feature descriptions), direct connection to fuel tank, no hoses or blower to eventually replace, no need for a battery, etc. Plus I think its moreconvenient to have something like that inside.

What this all stemmed from were two trips that I froze on. One I had a thin summer tent in mid october in the desert, Sleep Cell mummy Zero degree bag. Second trip I had the cabin tent, same sleeping bag and a cot when the temps dipped to 32f in the forest. What seems to happen is my head gets cold and the rest of me is then cold all night, even with a small tent heater going. Makes for a miserable night's sleep. And I don't like getting up in a cold house/tent. I bought a coleman Sportcat (1500btu) which wasn't big enough for a 10x10 tent and only put out marginal heat. Would like to upgrade and these two seem to be the best.
