I am getting a Ridgid cordless multi tool for xmas this year. Wondering if anyone likes or dislikes these things? I got the ratcheting and impact driver heads as well.

I do a lot of fix up crap around my house and some woodworking so cordless is always the route I take.

the last thing i want for xmas is something that requires me to do more work. me and my dad run a father/son shop (employee/owner relationship for now) and last year he got me a snap on 7.2V cordless drill, so i'm like "sweet this will be great for around the house!" His response: "I thought you'd use that at the shop." sure its been a super handy tool at work, but wtf? it'd be like if my wife bought me a post hole digger because she wants a new fence.

yeah I suppose that's the difference between work and hobby. I love tinkering with tools because its a fun hobby, but i see your point.

im excited about the ratchet for use around the truck. size and portability is great and the ridgid stuff is lifetime warranty even on batteries so you cant go wrong.
