before i got the 1991 range rover county i had a 1990 Ford Bronco xlt that had the 5.0L v8 and 5 speed a year I paid $800 for the Bronco and $700 For the Rover. I have owned the rover for a year. I like the ride of the coil suspension over the leaf sprung vehicles. They both got the same MPG. So that was a nothing to complain about. True the parts cost alot for the rover then the bronco. Both had the same amount of mileage other then the rover has more now. the bronco's engine had died on it. i have took both out test flexes of the suspension and the rover won hands down on what i wanted. Doing the winter time with the bronco the back in slides alot and even putting it 4 hi it still slides like crazy, when i got the range rover road worthy after replacing the radiator hoses and the water pump is what it needed at the time of purchase it did wonderful in the snow with minor sliding both had the same tires pathfinder A/Ts. One thing i liked about the Bronco it had the 31 gal tank vs the rovers 21 gal tank. Both the 5.0L V8 and the 3.9L V8 to me has the same power. I have took Both vehicles to wendover NV. The bronco couldn't keep up with my father in laws car going at 100 mph and the rover keeped up with him doing 100 MPH and still have more throttle to give it. Personally I'm glad that im a range rover classic owner. The rover did great at keeping up with a old dodge power wagon, a dodge dakota, and a Ford f250 doing some snow wheeling that all had bigger tires then the rover has. SO in the long term the Rover won on the expedition build that I'm Planning :patriot:. People can give me crap on owning a rover and I just look at them and smile.
