A birthday present from my husband. I've had my eye on it for awhile, but it still came as a surprise. Ain't it perty?

I need to get a real case for it soon.

That looks a lot like my 357.

Mine is a real handful with a hot round for sure. Not the most accurate or durable, but a good first gun choice (IMO).

I don't have a concealed carry permit, but I will be using a holster (kept visible) for some occasions. I wish there were more places to shoot in Colorado; my in-laws live in PA and there are gun clubs everywhere!

The good places to shoot are very limited, especially in the city and public.

If you are ever down south near Walsenburg, there is a darned nice indoor range at the last Walsenburg exit, I believe #150 (150 mi S of Denver). It is capable of handling pretty much anything you want to shoot. It is tough to miss the GUNS sign right off the highway. I have some property down there and you can shoot there whenever you wish, really.

I usually end up at the Shootist (hand gun only) or Cherry Creek around Denver.

I'd think very carefully about open carry. There are people out there who are just as happy to take you out from a distance when they see you carrying.
If I can make unaskedfor suggestions.
