First its a 1997 Discovery and came stock with the H/K system and subs in the rear. I know the subs were working before but I stopped listening to stuff with alot of bass and didnt notice they werent working till today. I can hear them very faintly but not nearly what they should be. Is there a fuse in the amp itself? I cant find a fuse for it in the main panel. Any ideas?

Well this is a 97 and I do not think there is a amp under the passenger seat. There is one under the dash on the passenger side and one packed with the subs in the rear. Would the amp in the rear have a fuse I need to check?

My 94 DI had it under the pass seat with a fuse. Doesn't hurt to take a minute to pop the rear one by the speakers out and see if there is a fuse there. I'm pretty sure mine didn't have one there, but it's a Rover, so who knows where one might actually be.

You can also check then connections then and see if you're getting signal (just hook up another speaker if you have one).

If you do have to replace things, might be time to start thinking about upgrading.

I upgraded mine a while back. If I recall there's a 7.5A fuse on the sub amp. Give it a shot.

Well I just check back there and its got the amp strapped on the back of the two subs. I took a test light and checked the connecter and 2 of the terminals had juice. One was a constant power and the other came on and off with the headunit. The only thing I can guess is that the amp is bad. Is this fuse you talk about inside the amp itself? Sorry I dont know much about electronics, Im prob young enough to be yours guys kid. Either way Im taking it down to the audio guy who helped me with everything else thats broken on the system.

Well I took a test light to the connector going to the amp in the rear and think I got it. Its got the six sockets and two were giving juice, one on/off with the headunit and the other always on. So I think that means that I have a bad amp.

Sounds like you got it. The fuse was external on mine. If you can send me a pic of the amp. I have a D1 amp laying around here if you're just interested in replacing with a stock one and they turn out to be the same one.

Thanks for yours help guys. To bad I took my amp to my audio guy who is over 15 minutes away only for him to tell me there nothing he can do besides send them out to LR who usually charge him $85-124. I ended up giving it to him to ship out only to figure out that Will.Tillery has a working one laying around which he has been kind enough to sell to me for a very reasonable price.

This is it by the way, mounted on the backside of the two subs.
