Power steering, when it's low, usually only makes a whine when you are turning your wheel. But check it anyway. In the video, you do not appear to be moving, so I would rule out transmission. I would focus on something under the bonnet.

Hard to tell from your Vid but sounds normal to me...one of mine whines but that's from the steering pump. try changing the fluid and see if it goes away. If it whines on acceleration while you're moving, it could be the tcase.

I took my truck to three LR dealerships and none of them could identify the source of my whinning. I drove about 5,000 miles until my serp belt went, while on the interstate. The sound went away once the belt was replaced. (My noise started when I got a bunch of mud on my radiator and engine from being stupid in the mud.)

Is this a new noise ??? or it's been there ever since you got the truck ???

Changing the belt is logical and cheap. If you have ACE, the pump make a similar noise. Refresh the fluid and make sure its at full level. Other than that, I'm not sure what else would make that noise.

A very good question that should have been asked earlier in the thread. I guess we were just assuming it was a new noise. I feel so Duh!
