Howdy all! I have been told that it's not a good idea to rotate the tires on a Land Rover. I was offered various reasons. I was also told that if you do rotate that you must follow a very specific rotation pattern. So what's the verdict folks? To rotate, or not to rotate?

Thanks bunches,
Jen

Take a look at the dueler and see if it has a directional tread and follow what Dean said.

I am about 99% sure that tire is not directional tread so do as you please.

I have mine rotated at every oil change (comes free with tire purchase) and since they will put any oil of my choice in free too, that helps...as long as I bring it :(

If it is a radial tire they can only be rotated front to back, other wise you stand the chance of weakening the side walls, that's per the tire manufactures.

Thanks all!

Excellent advice on dispelling/updating that myth. Now I know what to do when I take it in to get her aligned in the next few days. :)

Disco Mike, not saying you are wrong, but can you share with the rest of us where this is stated? I too have heard that in the past, of course along with other statements that simply reverse that.
Thanks in advance.
