This should be interesting. Looks like I won't be visiting South Korea any time soon since they would probably draft me since I was born there even though I am a U.S. citizen now. I don't know if that is true but I don't feel like testing it with this junk going on.

On a serious note, does the US really have that effective of a defense system capable of anti-nuke handling such as what Reagan had envisioned with the Star Wars program in the 80's? Do we have a missile shield to take the threat out before it were to reach US soil if the lil fucker ever launched?

Well, they did detonate their *second* nuclear device underground on Monday, coincidentally, the same day they test fired another intermediate-range missile. This second blast was thought to have a yield of 10 to 20 kilotons. The first attempt in 2006 might have been a dud....

Well our Navy did shoot a satelite out of orbit so I'd say yes. I'd also bet ships with that capability are in the China Sea as we speek. Let's hope so.

If not then Redstone Arsenal hasn't been doing its job...

And then there is the reality of North Korea, Iran and the forgotten military action in Syria.

Linkages
The Belmont Club

....North Korea is half a world away from Israel. Yet the nuclear test it conducted on Monday has the Israeli defense establishment up in arms and its Iranian nemesis smiling like the Cheshire Cat. … Less than two years ago, on September 6, 2007, the IAF destroyed a North Korean-built plutonium production facility at Kibar, Syria. The destroyed installation was a virtual clone of North Korea’s Yongbyon plutonium production facility. … the main reason it makes sense to assume that Iran and North Korea coordinated their tests is because North Korea has played a central role in Iran’s missile program.....

........ It's been reported that Obama has been calling Bush

True. Imagine Obama calling Cheney

The Left's head is going to explode when he does. He will because leading is not campaigning.

I say let them alone. The US has no stomach for what needs to be done. I for one am tired of seeing half assed attempts to deter people and wars.

I believe the only way to stop the bullshit is to stop bullshitting and do something. The something I refer to is total destruction. No rebuilding no funding no mercy. If it has to be done then it has to be done right and completely.

If we risk even 1 more military person it has to be for a noble reason.

The problem is that the idiots in politics want to manage something that cannot be managed. War is a savage buisness that needs to run it's course without interference.

I trust these military people with my freedom and my security. I will trust them to do what is necessary. I know they will if left alone. They cannot fight another country if they are afraid of their own.

In the end I will happily turn a blind eye and unleash the hounds of war. When they return I will congratulate them and buy them a big steak. I may even help their families while they are away if I can.

I will never ask them to explain their actions or tell me of the horror they have seen. That is part of the ultimate sacrafice they have agreed to and I will honor my side by helping them to forget.

Thank you to all the service men and women!:patriot:
