Hi all. I'm looking for a local mechanic or real LR lover in the North Carolina Triad area that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for repairs. I'm willing to go outside the area if needed.

You have many options in that area...
I worked with Dave at Discovery Automotive several times and was happy with the results.
For most folks it depends on where in the area you are located, and thus which shop you go to. There's also Rover Club House, Flying Circus (which may be pricey from what I've heard), plus others (well, at least before I left last year, so my info could be dated).

Rover Club House is now RCH Automotive and that is where you will find Crown14. I have had interaction with the others and they are good but RCH is the most knowledgable and more reasonable.

RCH and DiscoveryAuto are both good places to go. Dave at Discovery Automotive is a master technician and does great work. You can't go wrong with either one.
