Last month I'm trying to open my 94 Disco I could not open it until I forced the key and something snap inside. Luckily I have the remote so I was using to open and close the truck. Then yesterday I found the remote in my pocket with the battery holder was detached. I soldered the battery carrier back to the key but now it does not work even I bought a new batt. I was able to open the passenger side door but the unlock did not disengage. I start the car and stop and the alarm stop but as soon as I pop the hood the alarm engage again, I disconnect the battery so my neighbor will not complain to the gestapo HOA. Reconnect again and alarm came on. Arrgghh!!! Maybe I can start fixing the lock solenoid first. Any recommendation is highly appreciated.
