I need to park a car in DC for 15 days, but need advice on where to park it during this time. My wife and I are riding bikes on the GAP and C&O Canal trails from Pittsburgh (we're not planning to take 15 days, but scheduling forces these dates ;-) ).

Where's the best place to park that is reasonably priced, safe, and close to the trailhead in Georgetown? Reagan Airport too far away?

Anyone live close enough with extra room for a P38 and want to make a few bucks? Drop off August 17 - Pick-up September 1.

Thanks, Keith

I'd try CL or call up a parking garage/lot and explain what you're looking for. Gtown will be pricey. But most is about $12-15/day. Most will do long term parking, so you can likely get a better price on that. Central Parking is one of the main companies.

I'm in Alexandria, a few miles down from the city-hit me on pm or email (ray.gerber@gmail.com). We may be able to sort it.

DC residents can get a free 15 day guest parking permit from the local police station if you can find a friend or friend of a friend to hook you up, and if you don't mind being parked on the street. Watch out for street cleaning restrictions.
