Okay this is the mess i have goten my self in to......

95 Disco, 235/85 M/T's stock diffs, axles, i got my self down in a ditch in the snow a lock the front drivers tire over a rock, and in the process of getting over the rock something gave way in the front end and all it does is spin in there some were. At this point i try to back out of this ditch in of course two wheel drive with the center diff locked and after a while of trying this pop goes the back diff

so my questions are, what gives way first in the front end? the diff the the axles ? i really dont know much about the front as im new to rover and never have had one apart (yet)

i thing in the rear it is the center carrier in the diff, i know a little more about the rer because i have already blow out (and fixed) one rear diff........

so if anyone has any ideahs about my front end or any parts for sale please let me know.

I've seen that type of damage whenever someone tries blasting up a rock face so hard that the front end bounces off the surface, gets airborne or very light then lands. The shock loads that imposes are considerable and obviously too much for the diff with that type of driving approach.
Stronger diff and smarter driving....and while you're in there might as well get a locker and upgrade those driveshafts
