No power to Radio today when firing up 97 D1 (after 5-6 weeks of inactivity) last time I drove it (Moab in September) the radio was working fine the Rover ran great but the silence was deafening any suggestion on where to start (fuse?)

Shouldn't be... have you got 12v at the plug into the back of the unit? Remember there should be a constant 12v and a 12v that comes hot when the key is turned.

there is a fuse in the amp. check that. i've been chasing a similiar problem on and off for several years. my fuses are all good. according to the ETM, if i'm reading it correctly, there is a power supply relay for the amp. i can't figure out where it is located. once i locate it, it is my next check.

post up any resolution you come up with.

Did you try the power button? lol. It's ready for an updated head unit anyway!
