Need some new shocks for a 2001 with rear air bags and ACE

Just got my long stuffing wife a 2001 white Disco II SE7 that has the airbags and the ACE with 130k on it.

The previous owner just replaced the airbags so I?m not worried there but the shocks are shot. Looking on a number of sites like British Atlantic I see the shocks listed by they are all for models without ACE. Can someone point me to a link or model number ACE compatible shocks? I?d rather a OME or Bilstien if possible. looking to replace all 4 and the steering damper too.

Thanks for the help
Dave

ditch them and go with springs all the way around?

i assume you are taking about ditching the air bags and if so why? they are brand new so should have some good life ahead of them and work like a champ, its a total street queen and being able to raise and lower the rear of the truck help load the old dogs in the back. All i need is shocks.

Plus there is the cost of the kit to retrofit then the trip to the dealer to have the SLABS re-flashed so i have to say i'm not really seeing the ROI on the change, unless there is something else im missing here?

I dont think ace has anything to do with the shocks, so i wouldn't worry about that. I've got OME shocks on mine and they do well..no experience with the bilstien shocks.

meh, just run the OME's. my parents truck has them and i cant tell any difference (other than they are OME's and they ride a CRAPTON better than the old ones) ace is nice.

yeah I agree, would not worry about it tbh. If OME fits your budget, go for them.

ACE is a wonderful system for a "drivers" car...........Until it leaks, then is a pita!!!..........currently De-ACE'ing mine.......
