New cat. converter (A&B autoparts brand)

I need some new cats on my D1 97. At Atlantic British they are $699-$799. Ugh. Found some made by A&B autoparts. (frautoparts.com) Anyone try these? Not legal in Cali. They are $514.17

Look in your business yellow pages for a shop that specializes in building cats. You can have your existing cats filled with new elements for quite a bit less than that.

Are the cats in the above link welded in? So I won't need the rest of the exhaust systemthat comes with typical genuine LR cats?

Weld in Cats

Hey,
If you try weld in cats let us know the results. I'd like to know if it works well and keeps the Check Engine light off.

My cats went bad last month. The LR Greensboro team wanted $1500 for the part, and several hundred for labor.

I took one off a junked discovery for $35.

Yes these are the weld in type....any good muffler shop should be able to do the work, or you can if you can weld...
