I have an `04 D2 and recently installed a new Cat in bank 1, now I can?t get it to reset to have it smogged? any ideas to get it to reset? I?ve been driving it every day about 50 miles, oh the not so funny thing is that it has shown that it?s cleared (green light) and then it shows yellow. I would appreciate any advice. :banghead:

Depending on what emissions monitors are not ready, and where in California you live, you may get away with one or two "incompletes."
Not all testing stations operators are familiar with that, however.

I recently had to drive my '04 D2 nearly 500 miles after resetting codes for an O2 sensor and purge valve replacement before EVAP monitor reported ready. Catalyst monitor still hasn't shown ready even though O2's are reading normal and no pending or current codes are set. We are allowed one not ready for a pass. I was replicating the drive cycles given in RAVE and doing the drives specifically to get it to reset, so I ended up burning about 30 gallons of fuel in the name of an emissions pass. :banghead:

Yeah, the readiness is not clearing. I'm in CA and we can get one pass but it can't be the Cats, everything else passes. I've tried the reset procedures all to no avail. I was wondering if anybody had some other way of getting it to clear... again any help will be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

had this a year ago and unfortunately took for bloody ever for it to show readiness. The reset cycle is a mess to try and follow in this instance. Unfortunately driving it on the highway isnt a help, it needs a lot of cold starts to clear. I bet it was close to three weeks of my normal driving to finally clear as "green" like you state. The CEL was gone right away.
