When I was at the Chantilly show a couple weeks ago I checked out the LCP, LC9 and the LCR (357 and 38sp). I REALLY wanted to like the LCR, but the polymer wheel gun was just, sorta, blah. I was comparing it to the SW 442, the SW 642 airweight and the SW M&P 340. Those are some NICE revolvers. They just feel better. I would say they are slightly heavier than the LCR of similar caliber, but S&W makes some nice stuff.
That said, I also had to check out Taurus. Taurus 850, the 650 CIA and the 651 Protector are also VERY nice guns. Patterned after the S&W series, they look and feel a lot nicer than the LCR.
I did like the LC9, that is a nice subcompact 9mm. The LCP in 380 is a nice small gun and one that I'd like my wife to check out more closely. Its too small for my hands, just didn't fit right. But I do like how it's only slightly larger than my iPhone. I also checked out the Bersa Firestorm, Bersa Thunder 380 semi, Kel-Tec PA3T, and many compact 1911. HK USP 40C is nice, as is the Sig compact... but I still like the wheel gun with a speed loader full of +P
