Hi Eric. You haven't been here in a while.
As much a I hate going in there, Wally World has the best prices here for ball rounds, they don't have much of anything in protection rounds though.

I lurk every once in a while.

The two wally worlds up here near me (Burke and Springfield) don't sell guns or ammo. So for me it's cheaper and easier to mail order it. Down side is that if I go to a range around here I have to buy their ammo to use. I really need to join one of the private ranges around here.

When I was at the Chantilly show a couple weeks ago I checked out the LCP, LC9 and the LCR (357 and 38sp). I REALLY wanted to like the LCR, but the polymer wheel gun was just, sorta, blah. I was comparing it to the SW 442, the SW 642 airweight and the SW M&P 340. Those are some NICE revolvers. They just feel better. I would say they are slightly heavier than the LCR of similar caliber, but S&W makes some nice stuff.

That said, I also had to check out Taurus. Taurus 850, the 650 CIA and the 651 Protector are also VERY nice guns. Patterned after the S&W series, they look and feel a lot nicer than the LCR.

I did like the LC9, that is a nice subcompact 9mm. The LCP in 380 is a nice small gun and one that I'd like my wife to check out more closely. Its too small for my hands, just didn't fit right. But I do like how it's only slightly larger than my iPhone. I also checked out the Bersa Firestorm, Bersa Thunder 380 semi, Kel-Tec PA3T, and many compact 1911. HK USP 40C is nice, as is the Sig compact... but I still like the wheel gun with a speed loader full of +P

I just got a new holster. I was just using a desantis pocket holster, and just picked up a "holster works" kydex paddle. Finding a kydex holster for the lasermax equipped lcp was a huge pain. I would up sending them my laserguard so they can make a run of molds. I got a great deal on it.

Picked up a Taurus 85 in .38 Special for a great price. Shot it today, put 100 rounds of Federal American Eagle down range and it's a great shooter. Both in SA slow-fire and DA. Was a little leery about the Taurus quality, but it's a good package. It isn't a S&W, but overall I'm very happy with it.
