Howdy all you NE Roverheads,

I have noticed that there seems to be little action on the rover front in this neck of the woods and was wondering if anyone is interesed in a outing this fine three-day weekend.
Caveats:

-I am recently from the west coast; I don't know of any trails.
-I broke my DC powered latte maker...so no java on the trails

However, I come fully equipped with winch and tow straps so I am fairly handy in a pinch.

Seriously, I am doing some recon in So. VT this saturday with a friend in a Series. Seeking out a NY/MAsS border trail I have incomplete info on and then heading into the SW corner of VT to check out some trails. Spent Monday a bit further north trying to connect two trails over a mountain in Dorset. There is a pretty active Rover community in NE.

I'm curious about your dual TTs, I've been thinking of going that way.

Caveat: I hope you like the Yankees because you will be wearing pinstripes after very little wheeling around here.

I am interested in doing something this weekend. I will be in Boston and CT through out the weekend so i will be around. If the place to go would be in mass,vt then i would more than likely stay in boston but i was planning on going home. Either way i need to put in my longer brakelines and i will be more than happy to go. Rob, someone once told me about trails near essex not to far from you but i cant remember anything about them. I will try to find out some info on them and find the guy who told me and let you know

I live near syracuse...but am willing to drive a couple hours out of the way for some good wheeling...this weekend would be great since i got 4 days off and no plans....btw living in VT for a while my D2 is sporting the yankee pinstripes....

I'll be in Upstate NY (Adirondacks) next weekend Oct 13-16. I wouldnt mind hitting some trails nearby.

Steer clear of most if not all NH - trail systems have been pretty much closed down for 4 wheelers by the tree huggers. You're ok if you have a dirt bike or an ATV though. Not sure what trails are up in VT or down in Maine

Well, I just checked a map, and it turns out Vermont is just up the road. My geographical grasp of the East Coast is pretty weak, but it looks like its pretty close.

Kevin shoot me an PM. I am itching to get out.

Nick, let me know when you are int he area. Learning some local trails would be cool, though I find it hard to believe that CT allows any offroading.

Yeah there isnt much that is for sure. Some people like to head to the middle area of the state because there are some trails there that some go on at pratt and whitney or one of the larger companies there, the name escapes me right now. But going there you can wind up in trouble if you arnt careful. I will ask my mechanic this weekend if he knows anything becuase he would be my best source for info and i will let you know.

Kevin, post up the pics. BTW,, thanks for the into to NE trail riding. Vermont is pretty country. Let me know if the urge to check some more trails strikes you.
