new freelander owner

Hi, We just bought an off lease Freelander, 2002, very low miles.
already had the heater core replaced prior to purchase, and induction damper motors. anything else we should keep a lookout for. I want to get the most out of this warranty!!

Those damned variable intake motors cause more problems than all other things combined. Carry a spare brake switch- other than that, just take perfect care of it and take it off road a lot and it will be happy.

Oh yeah- front brakes go very quickly. Change to aftermarket, but high quality rotors and pads.

Thanks Steve. we actually did replace the brake switch too, i forgot. any recomendation for after market breaks and rotors?

When the time comes, get some DBA or EBC's. I was running DBA's on mine with stock oem pads... NO brake dust and lasted a good bit longer than stock.
