I was offered a job here with Mt. Pleasant city P.D. and to be 100% honest, I was shocked. There were 25+ applicants going for three slots; I have no prior LEO experience, guess I impressed someone during the interview. I?m headed to the academy on August 14th then it?s on like Donkey Kong.

have fun. You are headed for a very interesting career. We had three rules in our academy. 1 don't walk on the grass. 2 no girls in your room. 3 no booze in your room.:ack:

Good Luck in the Academy. As for the rules.....what if the girls are fellow recruits? :)

I don't know about now but back then even that was a no no. They had separate floors for male and female recruits:rolleyes:

Thanks, but don't worry, I went to a military college so I'm up to speed on that kind of stuff.

So, are you gonna crack down on those kids from the college of knowledge?

I'm a Gamecock but always loved visiting Chuck-town

btw: what year did you graduate from The Citadel?

Small world. I graduated from that academy in '93. The only rule we had was a midnight curfew. That didn't always work he he. I believe the women stayed on the first floor but we mingled, no problem. Great food too, cooked by the local prison staff.
Good luck and congrats.:patriot:

That was a long time ago. I couldn't say. But you'll learn to drive like you never thought possible and wonder why the DMV doesn't do this with everyone. The damn roads would be much safer!:disco:
