Either way would be greatly appreciated. We are an independent publication, and our customers are our subscribers, not a board of directors, so change is easier to implement.

Please feel free to send a note at anytime: scott [@] overlandjournal.com

Cool photo. It's got to be a good feeling, seeing those roll off the press for the first time.

If I subscribe before June 30 do I still get the first issue, or does it start with the fall issue now if I haven't subscribed yet?

Thanks,
- Andrew.

It was pretty wild first few minutes until they get everything dialed in and show you the line proof. Then it gets exciting when the machine gets up to full speed, producing 20,000+ sheets an hour! Holding the finished product (perfect bound) in your hands is very cool.

Everyone who subscribes before the second issue ships will get the Premier Issue. Those who subscribe before June 30th for two years will get the premier issue and a Charter Subscriber hat and decal.

Thanks for your support!

I'm going to cheacking my mail box straight away every day now. I feel like I did as a kid sending in the box tops for toys. "is it here yet? Is it here yet?"

Is this magazine going to be at Barnes or Borders, and is it going to be more than just Land Rovers??

Land Rovers and Toyotas will share 80% of the spotlight, with no particular favor given to either. The Overland Journal is much more about the adventure than the vehicle anyways.

For example, the premier issue has a 15 page Trans-Africa story with 110 diesels and then a feature vehicle of an FZJ80 Land Cruiser. The secondary adventure in Libya is on a BMW GS650 Dual-sport.

The editorial staff is passionate about all true overland platforms, including Defenders, Land Cruisers, Discoverys, Troopers, etc.

The Overland Journal will only be available for purchase on-line and from premier retailers like Expedition Exchange, Slee Off-Road, etc. Bookstore distribution is not currently under consideration for several reasons.

We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee/return policy.

Thank you for the interest and comments.

YaHoo !

I just subscribed last week, but hadn't seen this thread or the .pdf sample pages.

Cool and rainy in Iowa today, but I can print the sample pages and "travel" at lunchtime :)

Thanks Scott, Graham, et al.

My first copy arrived today and I immediately wanted to come thank you folks for mailing it in a sleeve. I've so far only flipped through it as I just walked in the door. More feedback to come. ;)

Damn!!! Nothin yet:mad: Gotta wait til Monday now.
I canceled my subscriptions to Fourwheeler, Rock and Ice and Climbing and now only get Alpinist www.alpinist.com and Overland Journal. They come too infrequently, need to find something to hold me over. Any suggestions?

Still nothing. Whats the deal?:banghead:

Kevin,

You should have received yours. If you do not receive it tomorrow, please send me an email and we will priority mail you a fresh copy. scott [@] overlandjournal.com

I double checked your subscription status and everything is fine.

I will also send you an email confirming the mailing address, etc.

I appologize for the delay, the USPS can be a black hole :(
