Just take any remote BLM road. North Centralish?
I'm missing that luxury of just heading down any ol' dirt road and not runing into somebody's driveway. Cali sucks in that sense.

If you're willing to go a little farther north, you can try state road 21 ( I think) South of Cimmarron and West of Miami. I've been told by a few that this road should be a 4x4 proving facility, many a 4x4 have failed this adventure. One should be cautious and verify that the road is open, the large Ranch has been trying to close this road to the public and I wouldnt want anyone to travel and be disappointed.

Hook up with the High Desert Rovers, I was a member a few years ago and it's a great club. The go out usually once a month. Some local trips and some weekenders. I thing the site is www. highdesertrovers.org.
