Ok it's not my first rover but my first range.
1992 RRC 4 inch lift 315/75r16s upgraded shafts and 4:10 gears.
100,000 on the clock everything works including the heated windshield!
Little to no rust or rot I need to find a rear hatch frame for the glass that's the only rot on her.

I'm trying to find out how to replace the vacum advance on the distrubtor? Is there a write up around anywhere.
It's once to be back in a rover again.
Thanks again for the help.

Ok that's a start, so it's a simple process it looks like it just slides out the side I've built and owned 11 jeeps in the past 15 years so I can handle doing the work, I just don't want to make a bigger mess than it's becoming.

You need to find a 6 year old kid with good dexterity to reach the 2 small screws!

This is from an old post on some shitty LR site.

Tools needed - one Torx bit driver for the only two screws holding the module to the dist. housing and a 1/4 spanner. a small dab of grease.

Simply unscrew the two Torx head screws holding it on.

once loose it will not simply pull out as the end of the push rod coming out of the module has a hole in it which attached to a pin. In the following picture I have the dist. apart which was only to do a full cleaning and service.

The push rod will come loose when you press down on it... no clip holding it in place.

this is the tricky part that requires a bit of finesse... a small mirror will help here. you have to get that hole up and around the pin. once you get that part done just slowly push the vac adv module against the dist. housing and reattach the mounting screws. replace the vacuum line and check for suction. You should be good to go.
