Hey guys, well im proud to say im a new owner of a 95 Disco. This thing is soooo clean and im lovin it.... all but one thing.

After a lengthly test drive we bought it, and 12 miles later, the small screw in cap on the top pass. side of the radiator blew off. After trying to find a replacement Monday night I just decided to put some putty epoxy on it just to get me home.

Does anyone know what this part is supposed to do? is it some sort of air bleeding screw for the radiator to get all the air pockets out? I purchased one today and just was wondering about the function. Also, is there an easy way of bleeding the air out of the cooling system?

Thanks a lot, and im looking forward to doing a lot of wheeling around CA

Get brass plug from expeditionexchange.com - it will save you lots of heartburn later on :)

New Owner with a Question, Headgasket

Okay guys, I found out that my problem WAS a headgasket and I replaced it myself. The previous owner did it very recently but did not do one very important step... GET THE HEADS MACHINED! My heads were so grooved it looked like a metal file in some places. So I think my problem was the combustion pressure was leaking through these grooves into the cooling system, therefore causing my pressure bottle to blow the 15lb cap and gurgle and do all kinds of nasty things. Hope this helps someone in the future.
