i saved this greek mannlicher schoenauer 1903/14 from bubba the backyard gunsmith.
bubba cut down the original military stock & welded on a monstrosity for a bolt handle
i cut the mostrosity of a bolt handle off & built a butterknife bolt handle from a 3/4" bolt,
it still needs the final sanding & polishing.
pic of it welded on & testing out some of my homeade alcohol based stock stain on the
butchered stock.
i'm geting a oberndorf classic stock from great american gunstocks & removing the side panels.
still need to order my sights, necg 2 leaf express rear & banded front then shorten the
barrel to 18" & recrown it.its been rebarreled to 7mm mauser, the only thing bubba did right,
& needs a little work on the rotary mag to feed reliably.
for $100 bucks i couldn't pass it up.
