I bought a Disco yesterday morning. It's a 97' SE with 89,xxx on the clock and it's in super great shape. I do have two questions and I'm sure you guys can help me out. 1. Should I have any backlighting on the AC controls? There is just a huge black square in that area at night and I'm **assuming** that there should be something lighting up. 2. What's the general coconscious on the order to do off-roading mods? I'm thinking diff guards then shocks/springs then tires. I?m not even going to get into the best spring/shock combo. I want to have a few mods done before MAR in October so I need to get on the ball.

Thanks in advance,
Michael

yep, you should have AC lighting, and I vote for some beefy tires and definitely some good protection underneath. Don't expect it to be cheap when you upgrade these things, cause you're gonna keep telling yourself you need to buy more.

Your truck can do incredible things off-road as it is. Drive the truck stock on a few trails and then decide what mods you need. Take a look at other vehicles at MAR and see what you like.

I would suggest work on the suspension first. This will allow for bigger tires and more weight capacity (bumber, winch, etc...). The more you add the heavier the rig becomes.
