I must have been good this year, because my wife got me a 1988 40th Anniversary for my 40th birthday!

Finally a LR owner again since 05. I love it, and can't believe the shape she's in. Most of it's life was in NM with the last 7 being in MS and TN. Almost no rust at all. 142k, drives great. No problems with 2.5 hr highway trek home and a couple of 1 hr highway trips today. Cruises pretty well at 75. Ac works well. There are a couple of dings on the hood you can see in the shot from above, and the usual switch / cruise control issues, but she seems to be road worthy.

Here she is.....

Very nice. Good year to boot. Whites my favorite RRC color, got one myself. Nice gift for your 40th. I just turned 40 myself. My midlife crisis was putting the finishing touches on my hybrid and then a KTM 400 MXC. Its an 01 but nice. Still sore from riding in the woods this weekend. Low budget midlife crisis is good! Definately nice to have a paid for vehicle to play around with.

Just got off the phone with Vigg Designs and have a blackout on the way and a couple of Got Mud decals. I also ordered a set of the Hella headlights for an upgrade. I was down a bulb anyway, so why not just go for the set.

Am 40 next month and was talked into getting a Yamaha TTR230 earlier this year by my 9 year old that has been riding for the past 3 years or so... Now we both go and yes, those first couple trail rides certainly made for sore legs!

Just my opinion, but "got mud" stickers, and a hood blackout would ruin that beautiful truck. Or maybe you were just kidding.

Zebra - she's all original. The tailgate window has some rust, but is still solid and locks well.

Sorry about the decals guys, but this was purchased to be a fun vehicle. My first LR was an 02 DII Kalahari that came pretty well stickered up from the dealer. I guess this one will be done up in similar fashion.
