Saw these on the way home, and couldn't believe it!

Why on earth would people need to be TOLD where to go? Really??

To me, this is a waste of city funds.

PLUS, now that there's a "Tsunami zone," does that mean higher insurance premium?

Somebody help me understand!!!!

just stand behind the "leaving tsunami hazard zone" sign and you'll be A-OK.

seriously, this country is on a slow and steady path to becoming completely "lowest common denomenator" across the board....

The worst thing is all of these signs create a white noise situation and then we tend to tune all of them out. We have a 2 mile stretch of road in my little town that must have 15 signs per hundred yards. Nobody pays any attention to any of them.

These signs have been in San Fran for many years.
In San Fran, at least, you can look up and see where you need to go - to a higher ground.
In LA, you don't see shit, so if somebody actually gave it some thought and there's a reason for this route to be suggested, it's a good thing.

The worst sign I have seen was in Park City Utah stating, no joke, "deaf child area."

I have pics.

Had one of those in my neighborhood growing up, it was there because there was a girl who was mentally retarted who had no fear of traffic so people would know to be on the lookout.

I like the "Don't shoot signs" signs in NC that look like swiss cheese. It should read "Only shoot this sign".

I know that sign, it's over in Park Meadows.

There's a better one in Bandera, TX, however:

SLOW
CHURCH

There is one I pass on Hwy 221 I believe up in KY between Cumberland and Bledsoe that reads something like "Caution Congested Area" or something.. there is like 5 or so houses in that mile stretch of highway.
