Anybody else have this problem? I try to get on the site at work, and it doesn't work. It used to, and did for 3 days once it went to the new server, but doesn't now.
It works at my house, but I am never here.
How am I supposed to F off at work now?

If any of the admins are reading this, can you give us a technical update of whats going on currently and what to expect in the future?

With the current speed and stability, i'm assuming that you're not at your final resting area in a data center..

Also, what kind of bandwidth do you average a month? Is the box colocated somewhere, or is running on someone elses server? If you let us know what kind of hardware, lines, etc.. you have we might be in a better position to donate resources for you.

Screw the donations...

This site is too important to Disco owners to hang it's viability on the charity of strangers.

Why not set up some membership tiers. Free would get you posting rights, but no Avatar, no archives. First level of paid membership would get you the Avatar and archives. Higher priced membership tiers gain more rights, ability to enter to restricted access areas?. Etc..

Not intending to sound like a Troll but let's get down to it ! I really do miss it when it's down and I'm knee deep in some Disco droppings. If it's gonna take a membership fee to make things work reliably, then count me in !

Perhaps port 80 has been turned off on the router that the server lives behind ? That would be my guess..

Sounds like a good guess to me. I will bet port 80 is being shut off to limit traffic on the wire to the server. If so, prolly a good move :D

hey don't make fun of the creators of discoweb. All hail the creators of such a great site, as glitchy as it is at the moment.

Perhaps it is a Lucas electrical problem.

Wow, if this post shows up I got lucky this time. All the other times I've attempted to post the server crashes on me. When I click "Submit Reply" I'd usually get the message that the connection timed out.

If the server was crashing, you would probably not get a timeout message, you would get nothing at all, or a 404 message, probably. A more likely explanation is that Kyle only allow a limited number of connections while we are on a small pipe.
