New Springs, New Vibration

Recently changed my 95 SWB to RTE 2-inch HD springs. Now, after about 100 miles, I am getting a vibration when lifting off the gas pedal at highway speeds. I went through this issue years ago with a 92 Classic, so I knew going from OME HDs to the inch-taller RTEs might result in some driveline issues. I do currently have the rotoflex (a new one). Two questions: 1) how many people have vibration issues with the taller springs? and 2) does anyone have experience in eliminating the vibration (which I assume is coming from the rear diff) by going to a double carden joint rear driveshaft?

I'm basically at the point of deciding whether to go slightly further with the driveline mods (double carden driveshaft) or closing my wallet and going back to the shorter springs.

You've got to figure out which driveshaft is causing the vibration. In my experience, the rears have always been more tolerant to 2" of lift. I'd check the joints on the front shaft first.

I had that same problem on my old Disco, lubed up the slip joint on the rear shaft and it went away. YMMV....

Update: Vibration issue finally solved with changing out the rear rotoflex to a u-joint and the use of a double-carden rear driveshaft. H.
