Side of the road....
Alright, I know, I know, search; I did. Here's the issue. My 00 D2 is making a weird squeak, not the normal chirp associated with a bad u-joint (it only does it intermittently). I had the truck on a frame lift today to put a new abs sensor on the left rear wheel and while I was under the truck I tightened everything up and checked all the u-joints on the front and rear shaft, the rear u-joint closest to the T-case may very well be the culprit, but I'm not sure. I also spun the wheels while under there to see if anything was making any noise.
The squeak almost sounds like a bushing: kind of like when a gas tank is loose and it?s chirping every now and than (had that problem on a different vehicle). So, I'm wondering if anybody else has any other suggestions or just do the norm and turn up the radio.

Another question with regards to the new ABS sensor. I changed it out and still have the 3 amigos (I have not had the codes cleared yet), once they are cleared will my ABS and TC start working again? Obviously if something worse is wrong they probably won't, but I'm almost positive the 3 amigos showed up due the ABS sensor being worn through by the tire. TIA

Flame away,
