hey guys, i have not been on here in a while, i finally got my 03 discovery back up and running after 2 and a half years. last week i replaced all brakes pads and rotors since they have been on there for about 8 years. with the exception of the passanger side front. today i installed a new front wheel hub i got from brit part utah on that front pasanger side along with the new rotor and pads. well brit part sent out the sensor with the hub that is the short one that connects in the engine bay. years ago when i had bad front sensors they were replaced with the correct long cable version that splices into the ecu under the glove compartment. so i fitted this new sensor and plugged it into the abs fitting in the engine bay. took her for a drive and everything feels good untill i make a right turn and tc goes on, on the right front tire only and the truck slow abruptly to about 5 mph. everytime i make a right turn, i have not driven far yet or turned at a hight rate of speed yet.

ok i just unpluged the abs sensor from the connecting in the engine bay and took her for a spin. the tc system only locks up on the front passanger wheel only when gassing through a right turn. tomorrow i will plug the old sensor back in, since its still spliced into the ecu under the glove box. i think the connection under the hood has corroded or might not even be wired in. i have not looked at the splice work yet.

if it has the new cord sensor with no plug, the old wire was cut, so use the sensor you had before and save the new short one for a different one.

thanks i will do that tomorrow, only issue i might have happen is the old sensor is ground down quite a bit, must have been beaten up in the old hub. if everything drives ok and all i get is the bad sensor error i could cut the new short sensor and splice it into the previous long wired sensor cable. i will post an update.

today update is not much, just some pictures and a new plan. since the new hub bearing is in and the new sensor is in and the axle nut is torqued down i think im going to cut the new abs cord here.

and splice it into the old long wire that is spliced close to the ecu.

since im sure the old sensor is toast.

let me know what you guys think?

on a side note since i cant do any work till the weekend because my son is a bit of a handful.

you guys think there is a traction control fuse or full abs system fuse i could pull to so i could run errands till this weekend?
