Hello everyone,
My name is Glen, and I live in the boring, but rugged state of Maine.
I am a new owner of a 2000 Discovery, as well as a new member here.
(hence the "newbie noob title)
I wanted to start off by thanking each of you for having this site, as well as having already having posted numerous discussions about subjects I had questions about.
I still have loads of questions, but I shall wait until I am in the appropriate thread.
Until then, keep smiling, and keep the shiny side up,
Glen

Some of our cast of characters:

Garrett: Loves kittens, cinamon rolls, bacon, and Dan Chapman
Dan Chapman: Loves quiche, PBR, tango dancing, and Garrett
Mike Noe: Loves "The Kind", tube amps, flying machines, and a good back rub, (secretly loves Daniel)
Jeff Bang: Loves nitrous, flouride, fermented foods, and a "good smile"
Walter: Loves dogs, (not in the way you think), JMU freshman, and quiet nights with Jeff
Dave Bowman: Loves fiber optics, fu-fu coffee drinks, "Winger", and 1600cc VW's

If you have any questions about ANY automobile known to man, as well as the long and storied history of Pro Comp's line of fine off road products AND HAM Radios - Steve Young is your man! If your looking to squeeze the marrow out of life, climb the highest peaks, woo 13 year old girls, and fly rainbow-embazoned balloons - "SKYGUY" is your man!

Dweb is full of strange people, but in the end, it's a great mix of lots of different experience in widely varied areas. It's a great place if you care to learn new things, sometimes the hard way.:D

Cheers,

Kennith

Glen,

somewhere near your backyard, in Die Free or Live Hard state, there's Dee Cantrell, the best friend every budding Land Rover owner may aspire to have. He knows a sure way to make the perfect non-functional Land Rover out of the meticulously handcrafted parts; if you get him to talk about it, you may end up with a garage full of parts for Land Rovers you don't own :)

Not that I'm bitchin', Dee, by no means!

Lol! You forgot to mention if Glen has any questions about how to disable his ABS, Chris St-Louis is the man to ask.

Wow,
This was a lot more response than I was expecting, it is greatly apreciated.

Clearly there are many in here I will have things in common with, (especialy the VW fans )
The knowlege I have gleaned from merely reading the bulletin boards in here has been tremendously helpful. (I will NOT disconnect my ABS, thanks for asking):) nor shall I tempt the fates by using a K&N air filter...but I certainly intend to open up that bent straw it has for an exhaust, as well as update my headlights.
I have ordered the book about "beefing up" Rover engines, so be prepared to hear lots of stories that involve a major portion of stupidity on my part.
Thank you all, for making me feel welcome,
Glen
