Hey mountain bikers, you know you've been tempted to get on the 29" wheel bandwagon for a while now. Here's your chance. I have a brand new Niner Air 9 (scandium) frame, brushed finish, size large for sale. This retails for $850, but you can find them for $800 online. I'll sell for $700. This is a warranty replacement, but I bought another one to ride while I sent this back, and decided to go full squish for my second bike, so I don't want to build up a second hardtail.

I just rebuilt an old '95 GT Pantera, what a frame this bike has. I way thinking of going 29, but lately I see so many people on them that look so ridiculous....I want no part of that.

what? i think it looks just "right". i'm about to build up an SS 29er. i'm pretty excited for the benefits of going larger.

if you want ridiculous, go 36er.

Why 29er? cause everyone else is doing it? Go 650b(27.5) why loose your quickness to just be able to over come rock gardens. it's a lazy way to get through the technical terrains. no offence it's just my 2 cents

Why not 35s on your truck? You could just get a set of 31s and try to keep up with all the other guys on "real" tires, but think about how much harder it would be. Sound familiar?

What I meant is lately, I've seen so many 5ft something, 100 and nothing riders on these 29'ers. They look so odd, that's just me.

I agree with Todd, you become a less technical rider, just plodding over terrain isn't as fun as picking a good line and making it look easy.

Ride whatever you want, for now I'll stick with good old 26's.
