No Headlights/High Beams 97 D1

The headlights and high beams on my 97 D1 are no longer working. Everything else works, tail lights, blinkers, brake lights and dash lights. I did a search and found out the headlight switch, stalk on the steering colum, goes bad and should be replaced. Before I shell out 150.00 for a new one what else could I look at.

While trouble shooting I have found a nice sized hole, rusted through, on the floor on the passenger side. It's just below some relays that are attached on the side wall just below the ECU (thanking my lucking stars water never reached that!) Is one of them the relay for the headlights? I can't find on the Rave CD which it would be. Only thing I see wrong there is one electrical pigtail connector, which is not being used, has corroded away. Can this connector cause the headlights not to work? There is no other sign of water damage or corrosion above this connector.

Other than that I have checked all fuses, replaced bulbs, replaced one of the connectors for the bulbs and removed and cleaned the headlight switch. I took the switch apart, wiped clean all the contacts and reinstalled it. Still nothing.

Any ideas and assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,
B

Still can't get the lights to work. I've have since replaced the relay and headlight switch that I got from Will Tillery and all possible fuses. I just can't get them to light up.
Any ideas?

Thanks
