So I went to try to start the Disco for the first time in months last night.
It started fine and had the typical knocking and no oil pressure as is usual after sitting. But usually the pressure comes a few seconds into it, 30 or so at most. This time it never got pressure. I tried pouring a bit of new oil in to see if I could get it pumping but that didn't help. After about 10-15 minutes I shut it down.
I checked the oil before I started and the level was fine.
I suppose the 40 deg weather didn't help.
I am due for a change anyway, so I will change (maybe today) and see if the result is different.
Any thoughts? Anything else I could do to help it out? Start a coal fire under the engine like they did during the great depression...
