Where in town? If you're in the quarter, hit the carousel bar at the hotel monteleone or find some dirty hole in the wall with loud music for an authentic experience. Spotted Cat perhaps. If you dig big brewery tours and tastings check out Abita if you're on the north side of the lake.

I agree with Tim, go check out Magazine St.

Tim next time you are in LC go to Pronias, they have a good muffaletta...still doesn't beat the Darrell's Special/Surf and Turf though. Nothing on earth beats that.

HOLY SHIT! I grew up in LC and loved Pronias! Daryls not so much, but def. Pronias

Now really home food sick

You don't like Darrell's? You must be on crack. Pronias doesn't crack my top 10 restaurants in lake Charles. Its maybe top 4 sammich joint though. Cajun roast beef and muffuletta

I grew up in Garden District I like Daryls. Like Pronias better. Tony's is s fave. Loved Plantation. House, had dinner with G Gordon Liddy there. LIVED at Scarlet O

Very nice, I grew up in south Lake Charles near big lake. Went to Barbe HS. Tonys, Darrells (we talkin' bout the same place? off I-210) Pappy's Deli, Seafood Palace for crabs, aucoin's out in Hayes (used to be Harris').

Went to LCHS love Pappys, remember though when it was a news stand. Same Darrell's
