I've used the cheap Autozone kind on a D2 with good results. Have to drill them out first though. I'm running no cats now without non-foulers on a D1, and not getting any cat codes.

Innovative Performance Plus Customs sells devices for non-road competition vehicles that fall under the below exemption. They are "expressly sold to be used on non-road competitive vehicles only".
Use on street driven vehicles is expressly forbidden.
Within The 1990 Clean Air Act Congress EXEMPTED "Non Road Vehicles Used Solely For Cometition" (see below EPA Bulletin " EPA420-F-02-045).
Under this exemption, the EPA allows you to Modify your vehicles if your vehicle is used solely for competition and is not subject to EPA standards.
40 CFR 1068.101 (4)(B)
Manufactured and Sold Expressly for Non-Road Vehicles Used Solely for Competition.
Racing, Modified Racing Exhaust Testing an Tuning Diagnostics ONLY.
Not sold For Use On Production Street Vehicles ("on road" or "on highway" vehicles)
Not to be used in a manner that is inconsistent with use Solely For Competition.

That's legal mumbo jumbo for "technically we can't sell these for what you want them for, but yes they'll work for what you want them for".

I like the cash I got from recycling the CATs, the increased wrench turning room, and the lack of something to plug up and glow red hot. I don't have non-foulers or emissions codes.
They are. Go in post cat bung to bring the O2 sensor out of the exhaust stream. D1s usually don't need them though after a de-cat because apparently the threshold to set off a code is pretty high.
