I have searched and read about suches, tiger, war woman, caney fork and beasley. I did beasley about 3 months ago but I have not been to suches in years. Does anybody have a google map or other reference points on the other trails. Are they even open...

thanks in advance. I promise to take pictures and update people on the condition

I thought if you had something helpful to add people would. I am surprised nobody has a google map set up with trails and descriptions. This used to be easy to find 4-5 years ago. Now when somebody searches for north georgia trails they will find this unhelpful thread. thanks again.

if you did a search you'd find trails. amicalola is right below suches. other than that, suches really has nothing to offer. maybe a few fire roads, but amicalola's are better. there are maps under my posts. look there.

Oh I have bookmarked your posts on landroversonly.com and very much appreciate those maps. I am looking for other trails to hit up while I am there. I have located Earl Ford Rd near war woman and that looks to be some fun, hopefully the water is not too high...

if you have a winch i'd do beasley if i were you. 32-33s aired down to 13-18psi will get you up everything. if not a winch will. just don't do 93b and the
"hillclimb" via the maps. it has some pucker factor and DO NOT run them if it's wet outside. it's extremely dangerous and severe damage is guaranteed if it's wet. there's a lot of pucker factor, but you can make it up everything without lockers. if you have another truck, even better.

other than that, contact SOLAROS. they have info on Suches. the campground where SAE was is in Suches. there's some stuff off HWY 60 that i'm sure you would enjoy.

you're just gonna have to go with some one who knows. a lot of trails are kept secret to avoid huge boggers from tearing up the land and ruining it for the rest of us.

The super-secret Ranger trail part was a reference to a blowhard that has a loose association with SoLaRoS; he was so annoying that he was persona non grata for awhile.

He may be better now.

BTW, I'm casually working on a route across N GA. I'm trying to eliminate as much pavement as possible.

I'm going to do a little scouting around Clayton this Saturday. Nothing extreme or even very challenging will be encountered, but it'll be nice to get out.

If you want to tag along LMK via pm.

There are no trails convenient to Atlanta any more, the FS has closed them all except for Beasley Knob.

Tellico: CLOSED
Caney Fork: CLOSED
Tiger: CLOSED
Uwharrie: a matter of time
Beasley: a matter of time

Any trails that people are running they are not talking about. Don't take it personally but Caney Fork is a perfect example of how a good thing gets around the internet with GPS points and then becomes popular and then gets closed.

Yep. I'm planning on hitting Rough Butt soon to see what is left up there. I'm thinking after hunting season. Would you like to join me/us (Bill and Chad)?
