First Land Rover ever (02 D2 - bone-stock), long time lurker, first time poster. Thanks for all the info shared, I really learned a lot so far!

Now to make this thread "technically compliant";

I just searched over 1,000 threads, and apparantly mine is the only cd-changer in the world that skips/delays every time I drive over a ladybug. Highway expansion joints? Forget it. Off road? :smilelol: I have been experimenting with shock absorber systems for under the unit with no success (not that any of you perfect-cd-changer-having-veterens even care...) but as soon as i cry "eurika!", i'll share pics and install info on the appropriate page.

But, if anyone can spare me another trip to "springs and pieces of foam R us", I would really appreciate it!

thanks again for a great site

I have a perfectly functioning CD changer you can have for any reasonable offer at all, really, any. Or I love trades for anything - parts, tools, hookers and booze :dancer:

OK, maybe not the hookers and booze...... wifey may not like that one too much! :drool:

I will never use the CD changer again so if you want it I can box her up to ya'.

Doug.

Thanks guys, I guess I finally have to step out of the stone-age and hook up with some technology.

I was wondering why 900 of the 1000+ posts in the search were selling cd-changers!

And sorry Roving Beetle, i wouldn't trade any of my tools for the world (or any of my hookers for that matter!) - but I do have a mess of extra jeep parts if you'll trade for an i-pod...;)

Yeah, I cleaned the living crap out of it, I even had my shocks checked..they're fine, i've tried just about everything - the good thing is that the Magellan Crossover GPS i'm looking at is also an MP3 player, and Atlantic British sells a cable that allows use through the factory stereo (it plugs into the cd-changer harness, so that may be the solution).

If my next shock absorber experiment fails, I might just have to reluctantly enter the 21st century...I've also considered XM radio, but i have enough monthly payments to worry about.

Oh, and smelly pirelli, nice try...FED!

No really, I'm about 90 miles North of NYC

No worries.... get an Ipod already! Used ones on flebay are cheap. :D

Just thought I'd offer and i understand about the tools and hookers - my tools and womez' are not for sale........... or loan either!!!! LOL.

The CD player is coming out from under the seat so I can instal a power converter anyway so it will just sit in my shop 'till someone needs the thing.
