Down by the big rock
Went to the NRA convention yesterday. First I thought it was a gun show, but when I got their I realized it was the National Convention. Thousands of people milling around, looking at guns, gear, and other outdoor stuff. All the big names were there, but I enjoyed the Bennelli and Springfield Armory areas the most. That guy that plays "the gunny" on mail call was there and so was Ted Nugent. They were signing autographs for the kids, which I thought was pretty cool.

I Learned several things yesterday:

1) I had better buy all my guns now, the Democrats are coming.

2) I need an assualt Rifle.

3) I need multiple shotguns.:D

4) I need a subcompact .40. :patriot:

Had a good time and recommend anyone in the area to stop by today and check it out.

We can only hope that the leftover republicans get some backbone and learn how to filibuster like the democrats. They will probably cave though.

I saw a really good piece on the news last night about New Orleans and gun owners. The gun shops have more than tripled gun sales and the state has issued something like double the ammount of conceal/carry permits in NO. For CBS to show a 65 yr old woman buying a gun, taking classes, going to the range and stating that it's for personal protection is a big step. Granted crime has also gone up in that area, but it shows that citizens are becoming more knowlegeable and hopefully will become educated on gun issues. I too am worried if the dems take office.
