I'm looking for specs on two different combinations. I'm not around my truck right now and didn't know if someone knew off the top of their head.
Discovery 1

- Driveshaft Nut & Bolt length and thread pitch
- Front of rear trailing arm bolt length and thread pitch

Thanks.

Just took the driveshafts out of my '98 parts car and have a bolt in my hand. 3/8" x 1 1/8" NF. I had to cut the nuts off every one of them. This one came from the rear driveshaft, diff end. The drivehsaft is a two UJ piece (no rotoflex).ds_bolt1.jpg

Perfect! Thank you. Can you measure the grip length or the (unthreaded) portion of the bolt for me?

IIRC there are three slightly different lengths, all are fine thread, and are actually unique in that their unthreaded portions are longer than standard. RN has a better quality kit.

The best match I found was 1 5/64 overall length, 7/16 unthreaded portion, 3/8 -24 thread pitch. And that's a Cadmium plated high shear strength bolt. I believe it should work just fine. $50 for 20 bolts & 20 nuts. That's that smallest quantity I could buy. I'll take a look at the RN kit.

*Edit, the RN kit wins. 9 Bux wow.
