Since there has been some discussion of food lately, I thought I would ask.
We are going camping and wheeling next weekend and I want to take a pork loin.
I'm looking for some new ideas of a marinade for it.
Anyone have some brilliant recipes???

Thanks in advance,

I've cooked pork this way a few times.....pretty tasty.

1 1/2 cups coffee
1 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Worchestershire Sauce

Marinate the pork in this for 1/2 hour to an hour. Rub with coarse ground pepper and sea or kosher salt according to you taste, or not at all (I've cooked both ways). Grill until done.

Mmmm, now you're talking....

I do mine in lime juice (I usually just put in some margarita mix actually), rock salt and some tequila if I'm feeling frisky.

Happy BBQ!

Melissa - Damn girl you are way too picky!
However, I will have chicken as well, some breast and legs work - who can go wrong with that? ;)
By the way, I am not really diggin' the new avatar - not that it matters but.....

Jen - that is an interesting idea.
Maybe I could add extra tequlia for those that need to loosen up a bit! LOL

Thanks for the ideas. That Jamaican rub sounds tasty.

Easy pork loin marinade.

Season the loin with salt and pepper. Wrap in foil and dump in a can of root beer. If you have an oven, roast for about hour at 350 and finish on the grill (leave foil on). If no oven, do the whole thing on the grill.

In addition to a tasty glaze, the sugars in the root beer make a great marinade.

my favorite recipe for pork loin is use those tin foil cooking bags(they are handy to have around) dump in a can of saurkraurt(sp) on top of the pork and slice up a few apples and a small onion, and let it cook. ohhhhhh ahhhhhhh...... can you smell de aroma? the apples really work well with the kraut. its easy. and very good.
I believe that a day without pork is like a day without sunshine.
