Hi,
My check engine light came on ad my code reader states O2 sensor, bank 1.
Which is bank one? And any idea where to buy some less expensive o2 sensors for a 1998 Discovery.
Thank you

Changing sensors is unlikely to fix the issue. Investigate the problem that is causing the sensors to throw a code...

Well, I can tell you one thing that will kill an O2 sensor: COOLANT!

I just fried a one-week old sensor because I've got a leaky head gasket. Left rear side just over the pre-cat sensor. I guess it was a bargain as that $69 sensor led me to find the head gasket leak. I guess a $69 diagnostic fee isn't that bad

O2 sensors don't go bad (always), their wires do

Double check the wiring harness and connections to the sensor. The wires can come loose and be burnt against hot exhaust parts especially.
