I've made that connection myself. Watching him speak is like watching Hitler movies.

I don't mean that as an insult, either. I could only hope to ever be so charismatic. To be so full of faults and half truths, and yet be so glorious that nobody cares. He feeds faith, he feeds people's hearts and minds with words that may mean nothing, but words that feel like prophecy.

I wish I could stand on a podium and preach like that, and that people would love me for it. I wish I could lie, and people would find truth in it. I wish I could say nothing to those who would find meaning in it.

Unfortunately, I'd go about 5 minutes before I called someone an idiot, and the spell would be broken. Wait a minute... Let me try this.

AMERICA! You have been divided. AMERICA! You have been shamed by your rulers. In a time when action is measured by faith, and faith is measured by temperance, we turn our backs on each other.*

AMERICA! I speak to you not as a man, but as a citizen of earth. I foresee a day when every child will look to their parents as heroes, for YOU have changed the way thing are, and brought us to the ways things should be. WE can change things together!

Together, we will build a NEW America! You fucking idiots.

Damn. I knew it.

Cheers,

Kennith

*I don't know what this means, either.

I have heard the "BHO is the antichrist" theory for a while now. I was wondering when it would really get legs.
Although I doubt he is the antichrist, the thought that BHO might be our next president scares the shit out of me, for many reasons.
I think I'll buy a copy of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged".
Kennith, you are a poet.

Ok...so, does anyone here actually believe in the antichrist?

If so, do you think it's Barak Obama?

Do you think the McCain camp is trying to play up the paranoia of the christian right?

(BTW - I'm not endorsing or blasting either candidate in this thread)

If you didn't get in on the 5 seconds that it was up, I mis-read antichrist for anarchist...whatever, but if Obama is the antichrist, thus meaning an antichrist is a thing then yes that would throw a wrench in my beliefs

LOL Actually it's my Lightweight...maybe it shoud run for pres.

I can't say I'm surprised about such accusations coming from the campaign of someone who wants support from those who agree with the Taliban that the US deserved the 9-11 attacks. I'm sure it will get worse.
Just goes to show how low McCain will crawl to become president.

It's McCain's campaign managers who are doing it, so ultimately he is responsible.
It's the religous fanatics who are always going on about The Antichrist.
McCain is the presidential candidate who is willing to legitimize the religous extremists who said the US deserved the 9-11 attacks, in order to get their votes. He disgusts me more than any presidential candidate ever has. I wouldn't cross the street to spit on him. He's not worth the effort.

So like I said, "Just goes to show how low McCain will crawl to become president."

Tom I'll have to disagree with you on this one! McCain has stood against many of these people and continues to do so. Where are you getting your propaganda/news?

That's what I've always done since I started voting. No more. I'm voting Libertarian. If the masses want to continue voting to get dry fucked every 4 years, fine. But I'm not doing it anymore.

Yes, he used to stand against them. But he was the commencment speaker at Liberty Univerisity, May 13, 2006. That's not propaganda, well..I guess it is for the relgious nut jobs, like Jerry Falwell (thanksfully now dead), Pat Robertson, Osama Bin Laden... all three who said the US deserved the 9-11 attacks.

I used to have immense respect for McCain, despised what Bush's people did to him in SC, would have voted for him for president. That respect was vaporised in May 2006.

It will be a happy day when religion is no longer a political tool in this country...as our founding fathers intended.

In this instance, I think it's a shame to take advantage of religious superstitions for political gain.
