Believe me, I'm working on it. I'd be more interested in the Labrador trip, so maybe in the next year or two...
Well I can give you all the details on that, but I won't be running that trip again. Unfortunately the Trans Lab is getting far more accessible now and they are paving quite a bit of it. The most wide open and least traveled sections are from Labrador City to Goose Bay.
If you go, go in late August - the black flies aren't so bad and the chances of having a ferry not run from ice is less. In the Spring there is a very high chance of ferries not running at a few sections.
Also don't do the new section of road from Goose Bay south - take the ferry through Lake Melville down the coast. The highway use to end in Goose Bay and your only option was to take the ferry - still the best route unless time is an issue.
Start in Quebec City and run down along the Saint Lawrence. Quebec is a super nice town and the woman there are outstanding. It's another planet.
