Off Road Trailer

I'm thinking about purchasing an Off-Road type trailer, a Fleetwood E3. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience towing one of these and what some of the issues are? There is a lake nearby that we love to camp at, but with a 3 year old a trailer would be nice.

The trail to the lake has some ups and downs that are loose, and I sometime us the descent control. How does the descent control work with a trailer with electric brake?
If I manually apply the trailer brakes, does that turn of the DII descent control?

Buy a 3 year old trailer, go to a spring shop and get some new springs that raise it. Put larger tires and you have the same as the E3 but a whole lot cheaper. I went and looked at the E3 for same reason as you, but found springs and tires are the only differance. I was thinking of even just a cheap shackle lift, you can get a universal shackle lift that will work at Autozone for $20
