Hey all,

We're having another off-roading trip this coming weekend (5/13/06) at Generalsams.com:

http://generalsams.com/

It is in Huntsville. I think that the gate fee is $15. It is a lot of fun...something for everyone (beginner to more difficult trails). Food is available on site.

Oh yeah, we have a policy of not posting any photos of stuck vehicles on internet without consent from driver.

Last time out, we had a mix of vehicles: Jeep Rubicon, OME 4runner, and Honda CRV. I may be able to get FJC out this time.

Date: 5/13/06
Where: Generalsams park (see link above)
When: around 1 pm

Please repond to this thread or PM me if you are going...so that we don't leave anyone behind.

See you on the trails....

Clayatem, thanks for the link. The trails from Brazos look like dirt road and pretty tight. Is there a lot of mud there? Any rock climbs??

Thanks.

Can you make it to our meet?

No rock climbs . There are some good hill climbs with a lot of elevation changes.
Some trails with off camber and good articulation. The trails are clean and they have a
mud pit. All the trail are short but very fun. It's a great day trip from Houston.
Read the website info and you have to call Steve the owner before you go.

Have you been to Generalsams? You could come with us....

After looking at the pics in your links, i don't see where Brazos is any harder than Generalsams.

Brazos Valley, in my opinion, offers a lot more than General Sam's.
General Sam's does not seem to have too many trails for OHV. As well, Denny, just seems to want to gear the park towards ATVs. Brazos Valley is wanting groups to come out and build more OHV trails. :victory:
You should definitely check out Brazos Valley the next time you set up a run.
Let us know the next time you go out.
Thai - where are you located and who are you setting this run up with?

Melissa, we have a small group of people with all sorts of different SUVs: my G500, my brother's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, my brother's Lexus LX470, Lexus GX470 KDSS, 4runners, and once a Porsche Cayenne.

Most the people in my group are around the Houston TX area. I am trying to get some from Austin as well. Hopefully, if everything goes well, i maybe able to get a Toyota FJ Cruiser to come out.

We have been to GS 2 times already. This will be trip #3. We are not a sponsored group nor an organized group. Whoever can come goes.
