Yep :dunno:

P1668.

01' Disco.

The scenario: Truck drove and ran fine prior to parking -- Did some investigating on some issues and ended up swapping out plugs and wires. No other work was performed.

Battery that came with MagPie was from 2011, decided it was time for a new one. Truck was unhooked from any battery for about 3 days, then installed new battery. Upon "connecting" the new battery, the car alarm immediately went off (can't remember if the car was locked or not when old battery was disconnected) enlisted the help from my beautiful Wifey to disarm the alarm via the key in the drivers door when connecting the new battery -- alarm stopped and all was well.

The Problem:

Truck won't start now. Cranks for days but nothing happens. Battery voltage of new battery after a few cranking attempts is 12.3v. Read up on a dozen or so threads and still haven't gotten anywhere. No dash lights other than the battery which I believe is normal when starting the car -- goes away after engine catches :dunno: When locking the car with the key in the door, the red LED rapidly blinks for 10 seconds and then calms down to the normal slow pulse of the being locked / alarmed. No LED flashes when trying to start the car. Key fob does not work on this truck :dunno:

What I've tried:

Using the key in the door, unlocking 3 times. Nada.
Doing the 1515 code thing. Nada.
Rolling down the window, locking the truck, turning on the headlights and turning the key to position 2 -- Alarm went off. Still Nada.

What I've read:

A few posts/threads suggesting changing the CPS solved the issue but.. I don't think this could be the problem :dunno:
Getting a new BCU and doing all that programming nonsense.. I don't think this could be the problem :dunno:
Disconnecting the ground and letting is sit overnight works apparently
Touching the pos / neg leads to each other to reset the BCU? Might have been a Disco 1 thing but not Disco 2?

So now I'm like
