All,

96' 5spd D1. Oil cooler lines are leaking like crazy. No it is not the o-rings at the radiator. It is the actual joints/tubing. Seems like the only true replacements online are OEM and expensive. Has anyone had luck with sending these out to be rebuilt? I have a matching parts truck so I could technically have it done while still driving the daily.

I took mine to a local hydraulic shop which rebuilt them. They reused the ends and everything else was new. No problems, and that's been 8-10 years (can't recall how long, as it's been that long since having it done).

You can make your own, using steel ends from existing lines, some -6AN fittings, and steel-braided hose.
Mine have been done on the D1 and my first LWB about 15 years ago, still don't leak.

Thanks everyone. I'll search around and see if I can find a local business to support. If not I'll go with some of the other options listed here

How does this work - are the 6AN fittings brazed to the original steel end pieces?

I couldn’t find anyone conveniently close to bring my lines to
